Well I hope all members and their families had a great new year and on behalf of the Board I wish you all the best for 2012.
The weather conditions have improved and Greenkeeper Rod is very happy with the way the grass is growing. Unfortunately Rod has advised that at this stage the green will not be available until the first or second week of March.
The pennant season for the Men commences on Saturday 18th February, 2012. Nominations for the Singles & Pairs Club Championships are on the Notice Board. Please note the nominations close on Sunday 12th February, 2012.
The Western District Ladies Pairs commence on Tuesday 17th January, 2012.
The entertainment continues at the Club and the year begins with a bang on Saturday 18th February, 2012 with Heroes from Heaven performing commencing at 8.30pm.
On Saturday 17th March, 2012 the Club is having a Chicken & Prawn Night followed by Carlotta & Dominique performing. Tickets for the Chicken & Prawn Night are available from behind the bar at a cost of $12.50 per person. Get in early as we are limiting the number of tickets to 100 for the chicken & prawns but if you miss out on the food you can still stay for the entertainment.
The Club is holding another Trivia afternoon on Sunday 29th January, 2012 commencing at 4.00 pm. Entry is free and prizes of Club money are available to be won. So come along and enjoy the afternoon.
My reporters advise me that New Years Eve was a great success and from all accounts all that attended were on their best behaviour.
Don’t forget the 2nd Badge Draw commences on Wednesday 25th January , 2012 between 6-8pm with a commencing amount of $1,000. A raffle for a meat tray will also be held in conjunction with the badge draw.
Please remember that the first ‘bowlo’ of the New Year is to be held on Friday 20th January, 2012 commencing at around 6.30pm. The courtesy bus of course will be in operation.
If you know of and/or notice a member and/or guest who has been refused service, who is not to remain on premises (or be within 20 meters of premises – unless waiting for transport) – your assistance in notifying Bar staff or a Director immediately would be appreciated.
